The announcement comes just days before the season opener in Sao Paulo, following the drivers' impressive performance at the Spanish pre-season test. Ticktum and Beckmann finished second and fourth quickest overall at Jarama, completing 421 combined laps.
Team principal Alex Hui emphasized the team's ambitious goals, stating they aim to be consistent top-10 contenders and redefine racing team standards. Ticktum brings three seasons of Formula E experience from NIO and ERT, with nine points finishes in 48 starts, while Beckmann enters with prior Formula E experience including two race starts and three seasons as a reserve driver.
"Formula E is unlike any other motorsport – relentless, fierce, and demanding everything from both driver and team," said Ticktum. Following their promising pre-season test, he expressed optimism about achieving regular top-10 performances.
Beckmann, a Formula 2 podium finisher, joins after serving as test and reserve driver for Andretti and Porsche. The team will compete as a Porsche customer, utilizing the German manufacturer's previous season technology.
"Joining Kiro Race Co. for my first full Formula E season is a dream come true," Beckmann commented, highlighting his unique experience with the evolution from GEN2 to GEN3 and GEN3 Evo through his previous roles.
Their first race together will take place this Saturday in Sao Paulo, marking Kiro Race Co.'s entry into Formula E competition.
