IndyCar will not race on the Chicago Street Course at Grant Park while NASCAR maintains its relationship with the venue, unless significant changes occur in the existing partnerships.

The upcoming IndyCar chassis design has prompted discussions about its visual appeal, particularly regarding the camera pod placement atop the roll hoop. While the aeroscreen is essential for safety, the camera pod's current position affects the car's sleek profile. However, there haven't been any public discussions about integrated camera placement in the new car design.

IndyCar's absence from modern video games continues to disappoint fans. While Forza Motorsport previously featured IndyCar content including the Long Beach Grand Prix circuit, there are currently no immediate plans for the series' return to gaming platforms, according to Penske's Mark Miles.

Honda's IndyCar supply contract extends through 2026, with decisions about future involvement expected within the next year. While a merger with Nissan has been announced, it hasn't been finalized, and its impact on Honda's IndyCar participation remains uncertain.

Regarding manufacturer styling options, a new approach could differ from the 2015-2017 aero kits by focusing on distinctive visual elements rather than downforce-oriented designs. The proposal suggests:

  • Limited styling options for manufacturers to choose from
  • Exclusive use of specific design elements (like shark fins)
  • Distinctive nose and sidepod configurations
  • Wind tunnel testing to ensure performance equality

This approach would prioritize visual differentiation while maintaining competitive balance, similar to IMSA's GTP car regulations.
