Stewart Friesen Dominates 'Sunshine Swing' Finale, Takes $7,500 Win and Series Championship

Stewart Friesen dominated the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series finale at All-Tech Raceway in Lake City, FL, claiming both the $7,500 victory and the championship title. Starting from fifth position, Friesen took the lead on lap 21 from Larry Wight and masterfully navigated traffic to secure his 51st career STSS win.

The 50-lap Modified main event saw Anthony Perrego finish second after starting 12th, followed by Erick Rudolph in third. Friesen also captured the Wegner Automotive weeklong Sunshine Swing Modified championship worth $1,500, finishing 41 points ahead of Tanner Van Doren.

In the Sportsman division, Paulie Hartwig III executed a dramatic last-lap pass on Brian Calabrese to win the 30-lap feature and claim his second victory of the week, worth $2,000. Logan Watt secured the Sportsman Sunshine Swing title by 21 points over Hartwig.

The series continues with the 'Speed Showcase' event at Port Royal Speedway on March 14-15, marking the opener for both the NJ Quality Drywall South Region for Modifieds and Belmont's Garage South Region for Sportsman.
