Austin Prock Sets Historic 3.791s Funny Car Run at Bradenton Qualifier
Austin Prock made drag racing history at Bradenton Motorsports Park during qualifying for the PRO Superstar Shootout, setting the quickest Funny Car run ever with a blistering 3.791-second pass at 331.53 mph.

The defending Funny Car champion showcased consistent dominance throughout the week in his John Force Racing Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS, leading all testing and qualifying sessions:
- Testing best: 3.805s
- Qualifying sessions: 3.861s, 3.882s, 3.860s, 3.791s
The historic run surpassed the official NHRA record of 3.793s, previously held by Robert Hight in the same car. Despite nearly brushing the centerline during his record-setting pass, Prock's performance marked the first 3.79-second run in eight years, achieved under more restrictive modern rules.
"That thing was trucking down there," Prock said. "I had my hands full. I got really close to the centerline and that might have scrubbed off that three-thousandths we needed to go (3).78. But I'm really proud of this team."
The 29-year-old driver credited his success to his crew, including his father and crew chief Jimmy Prock, Thomas Prock, and Nate Hildahl. The PRO Superstar Shootout continues with final eliminations on Saturday.
