Starting from pole position, Spalding faced early pressure from George Dixon but maintained control after Dixon's unsuccessful slide job attempt in Turn 1. A mid-race caution brought the field together, with Kyle Strickler and David Stremme mounting challenges for the lead.

Strickler claimed second place after Dixon spun out in the final lap, while Stremme secured third position. Cole Falloway finished fourth, and Michael Altobelli completed the top five.

Spalding credited his son Tyler's shock setup for the victory: "I didn't even know what he was doing on shocks, but he said 'Don't worry about it, you're gonna like them.' Sure enough, his little shock business is helping propel us up here."

Final Results (Top 5):

  1. Curt Spalding (#5CS)
  2. Kyle Strickler (#8S)
  3. David Stremme (#35)
  4. Cole Falloway (#66)
  5. Michael Altobelli (#35A)

The DIRTcar UMP Modifieds continue competition at Volusia Speedway Park for night two of the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, featuring the American Sprint Car Series.
