The 2025 season will kick off at Sonoma Raceway and follow the SRO America calendar, including races at Circuit of The Americas, VIRginia International Raceway, Road America, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Team manager Joe Monitto highlights two key benefits of this program:
- Provides clients with a competitive racing platform using the McLaren Trophy EVO
- Enhances driving standards through Skip Barber Racing School's partnership with McLaren for driver training
This expansion adds to Skip Barber Racing's existing arrive-and-drive programs, which include Touring Car, GT4, and other one-make series, creating a more comprehensive development path for drivers.
Darioush Gheissari, McLaren Automotive's One-Make Racing manager, welcomes Skip Barber's participation, noting the significance of having such a prominent name in American motorsport join the McLaren family.
Chief Marketing Officer Dan DeMonte emphasizes that this partnership with McLaren strengthens the school's offerings across racing education, competition, and corporate events, setting the stage for an exciting debut at Sonoma in March 2025.
