
Skeen Smashes Sebring TA2 Lap Record for Season Opening Pole
Mike Skeen claimed pole position for the 2025 CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series season opener at Sebring, setting a new track record with a lap time of 2m04.196s in his No. 48 CUBE 3/Franklin Road/SLR-M1 Chevrolet Camaro. The impressive lap broke Connor Zilisch's previous record of 2m05.062s from 2024.

"It's awesome to be back in the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series," Skeen commented after qualifying. "These cars are a blast to drive. Big thanks to TeamSLR for providing such a speedy No. 48. Despite running more laps than planned on the tires, we're confident about our chances for tomorrow's race."
In the Pro/Am Challenge category, Barry Boes secured the fastest time of 2m06.669s in his No. 27 Accio Data/SLR-M1 Chevrolet Camaro.
The race is scheduled for Saturday at 12:15 p.m. ET, with live streaming available on Trans Am's YouTube channel (@TheTransAmSeries) starting at 11:45 a.m. ET. SPEED SPORT 1 will broadcast the race live at 12:00 p.m. ET, with an encore presentation at 8:30 p.m. ET.
