Seth Bergman Captures First ASCS National Championship After Career Year
Seth Bergman's journey to his first ASCS National Title began with an unexpected turn when his partnership with Wayne Johnson's TwoC Racing ended early in the season. Returning to his own No. 23 car, Bergman quickly proved his competitiveness by winning at Rush County Speedway.

The 2024 season marked a turning point in Bergman's career, highlighted by his ASCS Speedweek championship where he never finished worse than second across four races. Mid-season, veteran Kevin Swindell joined forces with Bergman, providing crucial technical and financial support.
Despite fierce competition from Sam Hafertepe Jr., who won six out of seven starts, Bergman maintained his championship lead through consistent podium finishes. A pivotal victory at Big Sky Speedway in Montana reinvigorated his campaign.
Bergman's championship run showed remarkable consistency, with only two finishes off the podium in a 12-race stretch between August and October. He secured the title at Creek County Speedway near his adopted hometown of Owasso, Oklahoma, with one race remaining.
Key factors in Bergman's success included:
- Improved maturity and experience
- Strong partnerships with Oklahoma Chiller and Rider Racing Engines
- Technical support from Kevin Swindell
- Consistent team performance throughout the season
The championship represents significant progress from his 16th-place finish in 2009 and runner-up position in 2018. Bergman will defend his title beginning at the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park, January 30-February 1, 2025.
