Scott Dellinger Wins Thrilling Last-Lap Battle in BAPS Season Opener

Scott Dellinger captured the season opener at BAPS Motor Speedway by winning a thrilling one-lap shootout against Kenny Edkin in the 25-Lap GA Smith Towing Super Sportsman main event.

Starting from second position, Dellinger took the lead on lap 2 and controlled the race until a late caution on lap 24 when Troy Rhome spun in turns three and four. The single-file restart set up a dramatic finish, with Edkin attempting a last-turn slide job, but Dellinger prevailed at the line.

Jay Fannasy finished third, followed by John Edkin in fourth and Matt Ondek completing the top five.

In other divisions:

  • Adams & Son HVAC Late Models: Lane Snook dominated the final 10 laps, finishing half a lap ahead of Chad Smith. Jake Moser, Sammy Rial, and Gene Knaub rounded out the top five.
  • East Coast Legends: Colton Friese led wire-to-wire in the final 8 laps, beating Jeremy Ott, Logan Carbaugh, Scott Houdeshell, and Seth Kirchner.
