The 23-year-old former Williams F1 driver quickly found his pace, securing second-fastest lap in the morning session before briefly leading in the early afternoon. Despite facing challenges with an unfamiliar Dallara DW12 chassis and new track, Sargeant maintained competitive times throughout the day.

The Floridian noted significant differences between IndyCar and his previous experience, particularly regarding tire management. "The tire is more peaky than anticipated and quite finicky, especially with the car's weight transfer. It's important to maintain even tire temperatures throughout a lap for optimal performance," Sargeant explained.

Sargeant's professional approach and engagement with the Meyer Shank Racing team earned praise from crew members, who appreciated his accessible demeanor and technical feedback. While immediate racing opportunities may be limited with only four seats remaining for the upcoming season, Sargeant expressed interest in joining IndyCar either as a full-time driver or stand-in.

"If there was an opportunity to jump into a car, I would definitely do it," Sargeant stated, highlighting the positive atmosphere at MSR. "This was much more enjoyable than previous experiences—easier to connect with team members and more fun overall."
