
Russell Edges Verstappen in Final Day of Bahrain F1 Testing
George Russell posted the fastest time on the final day of Bahrain pre-season testing, beating Max Verstappen by 0.021s with a 1m29.545s lap on C3 tires during late runs. Mercedes achieved the highest lap count of the week with 458 laps completed.
Verstappen, running with a new Red Bull nose, managed 81 laps but didn't complete a race simulation. Red Bull finished the week with the lowest mileage of all teams.
Alex Albon secured the third-fastest time for Williams using softer C4 compound tires, completing 135 laps despite several interruptions. Carlos Sainz's day two time of 1m29.348s remained the fastest overall lap of testing.

- A shuttle bus causing a red flag after entering the Turn 10 run-off area

McLaren showed promising pace with Oscar Piastri's strong race simulation, while Alpine demonstrated significant improvement compared to last year's testing struggles. Pierre Gasly finished fifth, just 0.1s behind Piastri.
