
Rudolph Claims First DIRTcar Nationals Victory in 11 Years as Yankowski Takes Big Gator Title
Erick Rudolph secured his first DIRTcar Nationals victory at Volusia Speedway Park after an 11-year drought, while Alex Yankowski claimed the Big Gator Championship.

Starting from 11th position, Rudolph masterfully worked his way through the field in the 50-lap Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals finale. He took the lead by Lap 25 and maintained his position despite late-race cautions to capture his 11th Series victory.

The race began with Larry Wight taking an early lead from pole-sitter Rick Laubach. Rudolph's charge to the front included a spectacular move on Lap 16, passing both Jack Lehner and Mat Williamson to secure third place. He then overtook Laubach on Lap 24 and claimed the lead from Wight in Turn 4.
Mat Williamson finished second, followed by Matt Sheppard in third. Alex Payne advanced from 15th to fourth, while Rick Laubach rounded out the top five.
Alex Yankowski made history as the first Pennsylvania driver to win the DIRTcar Nationals Big Gator trophy. His consistent performance throughout the week, including a win and multiple top-five finishes, helped him edge out Williamson by three points in the final standings.
