
Jesse Love Claims Dramatic Victory in Chaotic Daytona Xfinity Opener
Jesse Love secured victory in the United Rentals 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series season-opener at Daytona International Speedway, claiming his second career win in a dramatic overtime finish. The race ended under caution following a massive multi-car accident that occurred just after Love took the white flag.

The 20-year-old Californian led 30 laps in his No. 2 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet, maintaining control through three final restarts. Sam Mayer and Sheldon Creed finished second and third, while rookies Carson Kvapil and Taylor Gray completed the top five.
Austin Hill, Love's teammate and three-time defending race winner, dominated the early stages, winning both Stage 1 and 2 while leading 56 laps. However, engine issues forced Hill to retire from the race after the second stage break.
Notable performances included:
- Harrison Burton finished sixth in his return to full-time Xfinity Series racing
- Jeremy Clements earned a bonus point for setting the fastest lap
- The race featured 11 different leaders and 24 lead changes
- Several rookie contenders, including Daniel Dye, Connor Zilisch, William Sawalich, and Christian Eckes, were eliminated while running in top positions
Sheldon Creed leads the championship standings by nine points over Love as the series heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway next weekend, where Hill swept both races last year. The Atlanta race will air at 5 p.m. ET on CW, PRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
