Pod Point supplies and installs home EV chargers in the UK. Here are the key points about their service:
Products and Installation:
- Standard installation includes mounting on brick/plaster walls, up to 15m of cable, drilling through walls up to 500mm thick
- Includes electrical connections, consumer unit if needed, and up to 3m of plastic conduit
- Chargers must be installed in designated off-street parking areas at a safe height
Smart Features:
- All chargers include Carbon Sync to help balance grid demand
- Smart Charging provides over-the-air updates and usage tracking via Wi-Fi
- Energy Clamp monitors home power use to prevent overload
- Array Charging available for multi-unit buildings
Warranty and Support:
- 36-month warranty covers repairs/replacements for product and installation faults
- Warranty void if charger is modified by unauthorized persons
- Pod Point not responsible for damage from power interruptions or third-party work
Pricing and Payment:
- Prices include standard installation and delivery
- Full payment required at order via UK credit/debit card
- Government grants may reduce costs for eligible customers
- Additional £200 fee applies for non-standard installations
Cancellation Policy:
- 30-day cooling off period from delivery
- Must return unused charger within 14 days of cancellation
- £50 fee for cancellations with less than 2 working days notice
