"He should start doing comedy," Norris remarked, firmly disagreeing with the four-time world champion's assertion about winning in a McLaren or Ferrari.

Norris offered a balanced analysis of Verstappen's current situation at Red Bull, highlighting both advantages and disadvantages:

Advantages for Verstappen:

  • No internal team pressure
  • Comfortable position as clear team leader
  • No direct competition from teammate

Disadvantages:

  • Limited car development feedback
  • Lacks valuable A/B testing data
  • Must handle development work alone
  • No teammate pushing performance boundaries

Regarding Sergio Perez's performance gap to Verstappen, Norris believes Red Bull would have secured the constructors' championship with two drivers at Verstappen's level. However, he acknowledges Verstappen's proven ability to outperform all teammates throughout his career.

Norris concluded by emphasizing his preference for having strong teammates, noting that competitive pressure often improves his own performance, while maintaining that Verstappen's claims about winning in a McLaren remain unfounded.
