The 40-year-old British driver now has the opportunity to extend his legacy at the upcoming Sebring 12 Hours in March. A victory there would give him wins at all three of IMSA's major endurance races, following his remarkable 2015 Petit Le Mans victory in a GTLM class Porsche.

Speaking after his historic Daytona win, Tandy reflected on his journey, which began in 2008 when he first visited the track as a spectator for the Daytona 500. He emphasized the significance of racing at such an iconic venue, comparing it to Indianapolis Motor Speedway's hallowed status in motorsport.

The achievement holds special meaning for Tandy, who had been pursuing this record since winning at Spa. He noted the friendly rivalry with Earl Bamber, who also had a chance at completing the grand slam, making the accomplishment even more satisfying.

Tandy credits Porsche's legacy in sportscar racing as instrumental in his success, while acknowledging the personal effort required to earn his place in their program. This victory not only cements his place in motorsport history but also positions him as a strong contender for the IMSA GTP title.
