NFL Legend Michael Strahan Named as 2024 Indy 500 Pace Car Driver
Super Bowl XKII winner and NFL Hall of Famer Michael Strahan will lead the field at the 109th Indianapolis 500, driving the 1064hp Corvette ZR1 pace car. The announcement came during Sunday's FOX NFL pre-game show.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway President J. Douglas Boles praised the selection, noting Strahan's experience in high-pressure situations from his NFL career to his current role as an NFL on FOX analyst.
The event marks a significant milestone as it launches IndyCar's new partnership with FOX, which will broadcast both the Indianapolis 500 and the entire NTT IndyCar Series season under a new multi-year agreement.
