A notable display of sportsmanship occurred when Modified champion Jack Miller gifted his Dave Lape Memorial trophy to Anthony Cardamone, who had initially won the race but was disqualified due to weight requirements. Cardamone, who considered Dave Lape his mentor, was deeply moved by Miller's gesture.
The New York State Stock Car Association (NYSSCA) presented Outstanding Dedication awards to Dan Haslun, John Roese, Carl Kram, Speedy Niedhammer, and Randy Delaney.
