Despite a year-long hiatus from IMSA competition, the Ohio-based team exceeded expectations with their expanded two-car effort. Team owner Mike Shank's pre-race prediction of a podium finish proved accurate after 781 grueling laps at Daytona International Speedway.

Tom Blomqvist, driving the No. 60 Acura ARX-06, delivered an exceptional final stint, overtaking the struggling No. 6 Porsche before mounting pressure on race leader Felipe Nasr. Despite facing tire management challenges throughout the race, Blomqvist, along with co-drivers Colin Braun, Felix Rosenqvist, and Scott Dixon, secured the team's podium finish.

The team's second entry, the No. 93, finished eighth in class after experiencing a rear suspension failure overnight. However, the decision to field two cars proved strategic, demonstrating MSR's renewed commitment to IMSA competition.

Colin Braun reflected on the achievement, noting, "Considering all the other GTP teams have been together for a few years, and we've reassembled and added people, I think we have a lot of potential to become stronger." Blomqvist added that while they faced challenges, the second-place finish exceeded their initial expectations.

The result adds to Blomqvist's impressive Daytona record, marking his fourth consecutive podium finish in the Rolex 24, including two wins and two second-place finishes. This strong comeback performance sets a promising foundation for MSR's 2025 IMSA campaign.
