
McMillin and MacCachren Clinch Historic Third SCORE Baja 1000 Victory
Luke McMillin and Rob MacCachren claimed their third overall victory in four years at the 57th BFGoodrich SCORE Baja 1000, conquering 864 miles of challenging Baja terrain in severe weather conditions.

Driving their No. 83 McMillin Racing Beast Unleashed/BFGoodrich all-wheel drive Ford Raptor, the duo completed the course in 15 hours, 54 minutes, and 37 seconds, averaging 57.6087 mph. They emerged victorious from a field of 284 entries, including 34 SCORE Trophy Trucks and Trophy Truck Legends.
The race saw early drama when pole-sitters Bryce Menzies and Christopher Polvoorde retired at mile 27 due to power steering issues. The competition remained tight through the halfway point, with several lead changes among top contenders including Toby Price, Alan Ampudia, and Tavo Vildosola.

The event was overshadowed by a tragic pre-race incident in downtown Ensenada, where two spectators lost their lives in an accident involving a crew member from Buehler Motorsports. Additionally, two high-speed accidents occurred during the race, though fortunately without injuries.
The race showcased significant technological advancement in off-road motorsports, featuring extensive coverage enabled by in-car Starlink systems, providing unprecedented viewing access for fans worldwide.
For MacCachren, this marks his seventh overall Baja 1000 victory, while McMillin secured his fourth title, continuing the McMillin family's rich racing legacy that began with patriarch Corky McMillin in 1976.
