In this role, Alunni Bravi will oversee multiple key areas including:

  • Legal matters
  • Driver development programs
  • Commercial operations
  • Driver contract management
  • Rights holders and governing body relations

The appointment follows his recent departure from Sauber, where he served as both managing director and team representative. He will take over McLaren's driver development program leadership from Stephanie Carlin, who is moving to expanded responsibilities within the Formula 1 team under team principal Andrea Stella.

"McLaren is a team I have been a huge fan of my whole life," said Alunni Bravi. "I want to reward the trust and confidence that Zak and the board have put in me by giving my full dedication and effort to help contribute to the continued success."

McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown emphasized that Alunni Bravi's influence will extend beyond Formula 1 to all McLaren racing operations: "His extensive expertise and motorsport background will provide invaluable support across our racing series, from professional driver management to racing governance activities."

The appointment further strengthens McLaren's executive team as the organization continues to build on its recent success as defending constructors' champions.
