Lehner Primed for Success in Super DIRTcar Series After Strong 2024 Finish
Jack Lehner, a rising star in the Super DIRTcar Series from Saratoga Springs, NY, is building on his career-best sixth-place championship finish in 2024 with ambitious goals for 2025.

After securing six top 10 finishes in the last eight races of 2024, including a fourth-place finish in the Billy Whittaker Cars 200, Lehner has strengthened his program by bringing on full-time crew member Brendan Darrah. This partnership extends beyond the typical driver-crew dynamic, as Lehner also mentors Darrah in his own Big Block Modified racing career.
"I feel like the pieces are finally starting to fall into place," Lehner says, emphasizing his focus on personal growth rather than competition with champions like Mat Williamson and Matt Sheppard. His approach is centered on continuous self-improvement, believing that enhanced skills will naturally lead to better results against top competitors.
Looking ahead to the 2025 season opener at Volusia Speedway Park's Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals (Feb. 12-15), Lehner is returning to proven setups after experimental configurations in 2024 yielded disappointing results. This strategic shift follows his near-victory at Volusia in 2023, where he finished second to Williamson in the week's final race.
With his strengthened team and refined approach, Lehner's main objectives for 2025 include securing a top-five championship finish and claiming his first Series victory. His recent performances and methodical approach to improvement suggest he's well-positioned to achieve these goals.
"Our program's gotten a lot better," Lehner notes, "and I feel like I finally have the program to where it needs to be. I hope to win more than just one, so that's how we're approaching it."
