Charles Leclerc expressed intense frustration after the Las Vegas Grand Prix, citing his respectful approach towards teammate Carlos Sainz as a factor in missing out on a podium finish.

The incident unfolded during the second round of pit stops when Sainz, initially running ahead, had to surrender his position to Leclerc. However, Sainz later regained the position through an undercut strategy, despite team instructions not to overtake. This led to Leclerc's heated radio exchange with race engineer Bryan Bozzi, where he expressed that being respectful consistently works against him.
Sainz offered his perspective on the situation, explaining that Ferrari's pit stop strategy management was suboptimal. He revealed that while running on graining hard tires with Leclerc closing in, he requested to pit multiple times to avoid losing race time. However, the team's delayed response to his requests resulted in a compromised situation for both drivers.
"I asked the team two or three times to box me, to get me out of the way, and get me a new set of hards," Sainz explained. "For some reason we didn't box and I ended up having to let Charles by a lap later than was planned and losing a lot of race time."
The situation left both drivers dissatisfied with the team's strategy execution, though Sainz managed to secure a podium finish. He acknowledged that P3 and P4 might have been the best possible outcome for Ferrari given the circumstances.
