This victory marks Strickler's second Reutimann Memorial win, joining David Reutimann and Nick Hoffman as the only two-time winners of the event. His first win came in 2018 at Ocala, FL, before the tractor trophy tradition began.
The win showcases the successful partnership between Strickler and his new car builder, Nick Hoffman. Their collaboration has already produced two major victories in 2024, including the World Short Track Championship at Charlotte.
Throughout the race, Strickler maintained control despite multiple restarts and red flag periods. Trevor Neville claimed second place at the halfway point and mounted a serious challenge, closing the gap to 0.7 seconds with six laps remaining. However, Strickler's experience and fuel management proved decisive in securing the victory.
The victory holds special significance for Strickler, completing his collection of major UMP Modified trophies at Volusia. As the 2023 Big Gator champion and 14-time Feature winner at Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, this win further cements his legacy at the historic half-mile track.
