The race unfolded in three distinct stages, with factory Ford Bronco driver Loren Healy leading early before encountering drivetrain issues. Defending champion JP Gomez held the lead after the second lap, followed closely by Jason Scherer and Casey Currie.

The final "Mystery Lap," unveiled just before the race, proved crucial. Former king Josh Blyler and Gomez exchanged leads before Blyler's mechanical failure. Gomez's flat tire allowed Chaney and Cody Miller to advance, though Miller's chassis later failed. The race ultimately came down to Chaney and Gomez, with Chaney securing victory by over 30 minutes.

Key Race Results:

  • 1st: Kyle Chaney (Can-Am)
  • 2nd: JP Gomez (+30 minutes)
  • 3rd: Brian Caprera
  • 4th: Robby Gordon (shared with son Max)
  • 5th: Cody Addington

Only 27 of 97 starters completed the challenging course. Notable victories in other categories included Brad Lovell's win in the Yokohama Tire Every Man Challenge race in a Ford Bronco, and Brock Heger's dominant performance in the Can-Am King of the Hammers UTV Championship, finishing 26 minutes ahead of competitors.
