Wayne Taylor Racing (Cadillac WTR) will join the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans in the Hypercar class, fulfilling a 20-year ambition for the Taylor family. Jordan will share driving duties with his brother Ricky and teammate Filipe Albuquerque in the No. 101 Cadillac V-Series.R.
The Le Mans challenge presents new hurdles for the team, including adapting to different regulations, managing language barriers, and understanding unique race features like slow zones. The team is actively preparing by consulting experienced professionals, including contacts from the NASCAR Garage 56 project.
Before Le Mans, Taylor focuses on defending his Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring title. Having recently completed an Ultraman triathlon, he feels well-prepared for Sebring's physical demands. He'll drive the No. 40 Cadillac alongside Louis Deletraz and last-minute addition Brendon Hartley, replacing Alex Lynn.
The transition back to General Motors machinery has been smooth for Taylor, who spent most of his career with GM before his stint with Acura. The team has concentrated on optimizing the V-Series.R's setup during February testing at Sebring, particularly focusing on tire degradation management.
Despite manufacturer changes, Taylor remains confident about his chances at Sebring, leveraging the team's extensive experience since their first 12 Hours in 2014 and Cadillac's three-year history with the current class regulations.
