Jaguar has unveiled a teaser of its first concept car following its controversial rebrand, showcasing the company's shift towards an all-electric future. The vehicle, set to debut at Miami Art Week in December 2024, represents the brand's new design philosophy of 'Exuberant Modernism.'

The teaser image reveals the rear corner of a fully-electric GT car, positioned to compete with the Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT. The design features pronounced haunches and a dramatically sloping roofline, reminiscent of iconic models like the E-Type and F-Type Coupe. Notable elements include sharp creases, a flat horizontal grille section, and the absence of a rear window.

This reveal follows Jaguar's comprehensive rebrand, which includes a new rounded wordmark, a modernized 'Leaper' emblem, and a 'Jr' flourish for wheel center caps.

The rebrand has received mixed reactions, including criticism from Tesla's Elon Musk. However, Jaguar's chief creative officer, Gerry McGovern, emphasizes the brand's return to its founding principle: "A Jaguar should be a copy of nothing."

Looking ahead, Jaguar plans to launch three fully electric models, each priced over £100,000, shifting towards a more exclusive luxury positioning. The company will operate through a reduced, premium dealer network.

Managing Director Rawdon Glover describes this as "a complete reset" aimed at reclaiming Jaguar's originality and inspiring a new generation of customers, marking a significant transformation for the historic British brand.
