Following October's virtual renderings presentation to team owners, a scale model has been constructed and is undergoing aerodynamic evaluation at Dallara's facilities. These real-world tests, which began in recent weeks, are essential for validating various shapes and aerodynamic concepts for the future chassis.

The development timeline mirrors that of the current Dallara DW12 chassis, which saw its safety cell design completed in December 2010 and aerodynamics finalized by February 2011. With approximately two years remaining before the 2027 debut, Penske Entertainment and Dallara have ample time to refine and optimize the new car's design.

While specific details and images of the wind tunnel model remain confidential, this testing phase represents significant progress toward finalizing the next generation of IndyCar machinery.
