Indoor Racing Returns to Atlantic City: Top TQ Midget Racers Ready for Historic Boardwalk Hall Battle

Indoor auto racing returns to Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall for the NAPA Know How weekend on January 31st and February 1st, featuring TQ Midget racing along with Slingshots, Champ Karts, and Dirt 600 Micro Sprints.

In the modern era, only 12 drivers have claimed victory in Atlantic City's 31 TQ Midget feature events. Andy Jankowiak and Anthony Sesely lead with five wins each, while Ryan Flores and Tim Buckwalter have two wins apiece. These four drivers are the only previous winners competing in this year's event.

Key contenders seeking their first Atlantic City victory include:

  • Tommy Catalano, who led the 2024 Gambler's Classic until late mechanical issues
  • Billy Pauch Jr., competing in the Jason Simmons Racing No. 98p
  • Tyler Thompson, former Oswego Classic winner
  • Anthony Payne, looking to join his father Joey as a winner
  • Michael Christopher Jr., nephew of two-time winner Ted Christopher
  • Tanner VanDoren, recent Allentown winner and rising star
  • Briggs Danner, last year's Gambler's Classic podium finisher

Event Schedule:

  • Friday, January 31st:

    • Grandstands open: 6 PM
    • Racing begins: 7 PM
    • Pre-race Fan Zone with driver autographs
  • Saturday, February 1st:

    • Grandstands open: 5 PM
    • Fan Fest: 5:00-6:15 PM
    • Racing begins: 7 PM

Fan Fest features NHRA Funny Car driver Ron Caps, Ms. Motorsports 2025, and all entered drivers signing autographs. Tickets start at $20 for adults and $5 for children, with premium and reserved seating available through Ticketmaster or the Boardwalk Hall box office.

The event draws competitors from 13 different states and two Canadian provinces, making it one of indoor auto racing's premier events.
