IMSA: Ex-Porsche Factory Driver Bruni Signs with JDC-Miller for 2025 Season
JDC-Miller MotorSports has secured former Porsche factory driver Gianmaria Bruni for the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. Bruni will pilot the No.85 Porsche 963 alongside Tijmen van der Helm.

For the Daytona race, the team will be strengthened by FIA Formula E World Champion Pascal Wehrlein and Indy NXT driver Bryce Aron. Bruni, who won the LMP2 class at the 2023 Rolex 24 at Daytona with Proton Competition, expressed enthusiasm about joining the team following November's Daytona tests.
The Italian veteran replaces Richard Westbrook, under whose tenure the team achieved its first GTP podium at Indianapolis last September. This milestone came after the No.6 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 was penalized post-race, elevating the team from fourth to third position.
John Church, JDC-Miller Managing Partner, highlighted Bruni's extensive sports car racing experience as a key factor in their championship aspirations. Despite earlier entry list confusion showing Bruni with Proton Competition, this was confirmed to be an administrative error pending correction by IMSA.
Bruni's appointment signals JDC-Miller's commitment to building on their recent success, combining his proven expertise with van der Helm's developing talent for the upcoming season.
