BMW has unveiled its latest iDrive infotainment system at CES 2025, introducing groundbreaking features that will be implemented across all new BMW models from late 2025.

The system's centerpiece is a "Panoramic Vision" display - a full-width screen integrated into the windscreen's base, divided into three customizable sections displaying:

• Speed and driving information above the steering wheel
• Two additional sections for driving mode, music, and communications

The traditional rotary dial controller has been eliminated in favor of:

• Touchscreen controls
• Voice commands
• Steering wheel buttons with context-sensitive functions

A new optional 3D head-up display projects navigation directions onto the road ahead, reducing driver distraction. The steering wheel features dynamic buttons that adapt based on current functions - for example, displaying call controls when receiving phone calls.
