
Hoyt and Herbert Highlighted at Sprint Cars of New England Awards Ceremony
A sold-out crowd gathered at the New England Racing Museum to celebrate the 2024 McGee Automotive Family Sprint Cars of New England (SCoNE) racing season. The event marked several significant achievements and milestones in the sport.

Matt Hoyt from Campton, New Hampshire, clinched his first SCoNE Tour championship, earning a $2,000 check and the inaugural Fred Frame Championship Trophy. Hoyt's No. 07 car, owned by his parents Ed and Pam Hoyt, secured one victory at Unity Raceway and five podium finishes throughout the season.

Caiden Herbert earned Rookie of the Year honors, winning at Bear Ridge Speedway and finishing fourth in Tour points. He also claimed the Green Mountain Gear-Heads Championship Series title. Meanwhile, Hoyt secured the Maine State Champion title after outstanding performances at Unity Raceway.

Notable awards included:
- Dylan Menditto: Most Improved Driver
- Will Hull: Sportsmanship Award
- Sam Comeau: Mechanic of the Year
- Kadyn Berry: Winner of the Favorite Driver Poll, raising $2,200 for Friends of Veterans
