
Guenther Ends Wehrlein's Pole Streak in Jeddah E-Prix Qualifying
Maximilian Guenther secured pole position for the first Jeddah E-Prix race, ending Pascal Wehrlein's consecutive pole streak. The DS Penske driver set a decisive time of 1m14.911s, outpacing TAG Heuer Porsche's Wehrlein by 0.286s in the final qualifying Duel.

Guenther's path to pole saw him defeat Nyck de Vries and Taylor Barnard in earlier rounds, while Wehrlein advanced by beating Jake Hughes and Oliver Rowland. This marks Guenther's first pole since the 2023 Jakarta E-Prix.
The qualifying sessions proved challenging for several championship contenders. Current points leader Antonio Felix da Costa struggled to 13th position, while Andretti's Jake Dennis will start from 16th. Notable performances came from Rowland and Barnard, who secured third and fourth positions respectively.
The grid order sees Evans starting fifth, followed by de Vries in sixth. Hughes, Ticktum, Cassidy, and Vergne complete the top 10. Both Lola Yamaha Abt cars of Maloney and di Grassi will start from the back following penalties for motor seal infractions.
