Tesla Model Y has received a comprehensive update focusing on design, interior quality, and efficiency improvements. The best-selling electric car maintains its core powertrain while introducing several notable changes.

Key improvements include a sleeker exterior design with Cybertruck-inspired elements, including a new light bar and lower bonnet line. The redesigned aerodynamics contribute to an additional 22 miles of range.

Interior upgrades feature higher quality materials, improved door panels, and new ambient lighting. The 15-inch touchscreen remains central to operations but now sports thinner bezels. Storage capacity stays impressive at 854 litres, including the underfloor area.

  • Range: 353 miles (22 miles more than previous model)
  • Power: 384hp
  • 0-60mph: 4.1 seconds (improved from 4.8 seconds)
  • Starting price: £60,990

The dual-motor variant launches first, with more affordable single-motor and high-performance versions expected later. While the price has increased by £9,000, future variants should start around £50,000.

Notable features include electrically reclining rear seats, new wheel options (19-inch and 20-inch), and a unique rear light bar that projects onto the tailgate. The traditional indicator stalk remains, unlike the touch-sensitive controls in the Model 3.

Deliveries begin in March 2025, with orders now open for the Launch Edition.
