The BMW iX, one of the leading electric SUVs in the market, has received significant upgrades that enhance its already impressive capabilities. This mid-life refresh brings increased range, more power, and subtle design refinements.

The updated iX maintains its position ahead of competitors like the Mercedes EQE SUV and Audi Q8 e-tron, with notable improvements in key areas. Exterior changes include sharper headlights and an illuminated edge around the distinctive front grille on select trims.

The interior retains its futuristic appeal with a striking twin-screen setup and layered center console design. Premium materials, comfortable seating (now with enhanced M Sport trim options), and excellent passenger space create a luxurious environment. The 500-liter boot capacity, while adequate for most needs, remains smaller than competitors.

Technical improvements focus on range and performance. Larger batteries and more efficient motors extend the xDrive60's range to 426 miles, among the highest in the UK. Charging speeds have also improved across the lineup.

The entry-level xDrive45 delivers impressive performance with responsive all-wheel drive and strong acceleration. Despite its size, the iX handles well while maintaining exceptional ride comfort and refinement. The range-topping M70 variant offers 659hp for those seeking maximum performance.

Starting at £75,000, the entry-level model offers the best value with 374 miles of range, ample power, and the same luxury amenities as higher-priced versions. This combination of increased capability and maintained luxury makes the refreshed iX an even more compelling option in the premium electric SUV segment.
