Ferrari Sweeps Historic 1-2-3 Victory at Qatar WEC Season Opener

Ferrari dominated the 2025 Qatar 1812Km WEC season opener with a historic 1-2-3 finish under the floodlights at Lusail International Circuit. The No. 50 Ferrari 499P, driven by Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen, claimed victory after executing an effective tire strategy throughout the 10-hour race.

The winning team recovered from an early spin and managed challenging tire wear to finish 2.3 seconds ahead of the No. 83 AF Corse Ferrari, driven by Yifei Ye, Phil Hanson, and Robert Kubica. The No. 51 factory Ferrari completed the podium despite receiving two drive-through penalties.

  • BMW finished fourth with their No. 15 WRT entry
  • Toyota secured fifth and sixth positions despite qualifying challenges

In LMGT3, TF Sport's Corvette Z06 GT3.R claimed victory from 13th on the grid, with Daniel Juncadella, Ben Keating, and Jonny Edgar securing the win after a thrilling battle with the United Autosports McLaren, which finished second. The Bend WRT BMW rounded out the podium in third.
