Despite the event's success, drivers emphasize two key improvements needed for future races:
- Earlier race start time (currently 10 PM local)
- Removal from back-to-back race weekend schedule
George Russell highlights the impact on F1's workforce, noting that while the schedule affects 4,000 team members, the timing primarily caters to millions of global viewers. The back-to-back scheduling with Qatar presents the biggest challenge.
Carlos Sainz acknowledges improvements from 2023, praising the more traditional F1 approach versus the previous year's Vegas-style entertainment focus. He specifically recommends:
- Moving race time earlier by several hours
- Eliminating back-to-back scheduling with Qatar
- Maintaining the current track layout, which provides good overtaking opportunities
Lewis Hamilton, while recognizing the strain on garage staff, commends the event's overall execution in its second year. He notes that despite challenges, team members remain enthusiastic about the race.
The 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix is scheduled for November 22, maintaining its position in a triple-header with Qatar and Abu Dhabi races.
