New IMSA GTD PRO entrant DragonSpeed will partner with Risi Competizione for their 2025 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship campaign. The team has finalized its Rolex 24 At Daytona driver lineup for the No. 81 Ferrari 296 GT3, featuring Ferrari factory drivers Davide Rigon, Miguel Molina, and Thomas Neubauer alongside Albert Costa.

This partnership combines DragonSpeed's impressive racing heritage, including three Rolex 24 victories and a 24 Hours of Le Mans LMP2 win, with Risi Competizione's extensive IMSA experience with Ferrari. While Risi won't field their own car in 2025, they will provide technical support to DragonSpeed's effort.

The all-star driver lineup brings significant experience and success:

  • Miguel Molina: 2024 Le Mans winner with Ferrari
  • Albert Costa: 2024 Motul Petit Le Mans GTD class winner
  • Davide Rigon: Part of Risi's victorious 2024 Daytona team
  • Thomas Neubauer: Gold-rated FIA driver

The No. 81 Ferrari 296 GT3 will feature DragonSpeed's signature stars-and-stripes design on a yellow base livery. This campaign aims to defend Ferrari's Daytona victory and add to the 296 GT3's impressive tally of over 200 wins in just two years of competition.

This announcement follows DragonSpeed's strategic entry in two late-2024 races - the Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis (GTD class) and Motul Petit Le Mans (GTD PRO class) - which served as preparation for their full 2025 season commitment.
