
DIRTcar UMP Modifieds Set for Big Gator Trophy Hunt at Volusia Nationals
DIRTcar UMP Modifieds celebrate their 20th year of competition at Volusia Speedway Park with an expanded race schedule for the 2025 Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals.

The competition begins with three nights of racing (Jan. 30-Feb. 1) alongside the American Sprint Car Series. These races count towards UMP Modified Speedweeks points but not the Big Gator Championship.
The format follows "Every Lap Matters" with Thursday and Friday Features paying $1,200-to-win. Saturday's Heat races use points from previous nights to determine the 24-car field competing for $2,500.
The Big Gator championship runs Feb. 3-8, featuring:
- Monday-Friday: Split Features paying $1,000-to-win
- Friday: Gator Qualifiers with four-car inversions
- Saturday: Last Chance Showdowns and 30-lap Championship Feature ($5,000-to-win)

- Tyler Nicely: 2024 Big Gator champion with 11 Golden Gator victories

- Mike McKinney: 2024 Summit Modified Nationals champion seeking first Golden Gator
