David Gravel Dominates Cotton Bowl Finale in World of Outlaws Sprint Car Sweep
David Gravel dominated the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car event at Cotton Bowl Speedway, completing a perfect weekend sweep in Paige, Texas. He led all 30 laps of Saturday's finale after winning Friday's feature.
Sprint car races at Cotton Bowl
The defending champion set a new track record in qualifying and won both his Heat Race and the Toyota Dash. This victory marked Gravel's fifth win in eight races and his 108th career World of Outlaws triumph. He became the first driver to claim three victories at Cotton Bowl Speedway.
Cowboy celebrates with wing dance
Michael "Buddy" Kofoid finished second in the Roth Motorsports No. 83, challenging Gravel in the closing laps. Local driver Sam Hafertepe Jr. secured third place after climbing back from seventh position. Logan Schuchart and Sheldon Haudenschild rounded out the top five.
Notable performances included Garet Williamson's impressive run from 17th to 8th, earning him the KSE Racing Hard Charger award.
