The JR Motorsports driver made a decisive move on the final lap to overtake Austin Hill, marking his first top-five finish at the track in 16 attempts.
NASCAR pack racing at Daytona
Kyle Larson dominated most of the race, leading 132 of 201 laps with a 15-second advantage before a late caution with eight laps remaining bunched up the field. During the overtime restart, contact between Sam Mayer and Larson created an opportunity for Allgaier to capitalize on the outside line.
The final running order saw Allgaier first, Mayer second, Hill third, and Larson fourth. The victory makes Allgaier the first multi-race winner of the 2025 season, extending his championship lead to 29 points over Mayer.
