Despite being primarily a 410 Sprint Car competitor, Dietrich recently showed strong performance in 360 competition at Volusia, securing back-to-back fifth-place finishes during the 2024 Germfree Southern Sprint Car Shootout.
The early-season racing provides valuable track time before the Pennsylvania 410 Sprint Car season begins in March. Dietrich appreciates Volusia's facilities and growing fan base, noting the track's unique characteristics that set it apart from Pennsylvania venues.
Regarding ASCS's new ownership under World Racing Group, Dietrich expressed optimism: "Having ASCS down there is definitely going to help the situation with the 360s. To have ASCS involved and taking over Volusia will be really, really good for 360s as a whole."
The event represents ASCS National Tour's debut at Volusia Speedway Park under its new ownership, marking a significant milestone in American sprint car racing history.
