As Cadillac prepares to join Formula 1 in 2026, their previous plans under Andretti included featuring American drivers. Crawford, currently the highest-ranked American in Formula 2, acknowledges this potential opportunity while remaining committed to his development at Aston Martin.

"Obviously at the moment I'm with Aston Martin and the plan is to be with them and learn and develop," Crawford states. "Of course if any race seat came up I would love to have one. Honestly, it's my dream, so in any scenario like that then I would of course have to consider it."

Following his Abu Dhabi test, Crawford expresses confidence in his F1 potential, noting how well his Formula 2 rivals have transitioned to F1. His unique position as the leading American driver in European junior formulas, combined with his recent F1 testing experience, strengthens his candidacy for future opportunities in the sport.

"I feel very comfortable in the car," Crawford reflects on his test. "You never really know how you're going to stack up or compare in your first official session, and I feel like I performed well, and it definitely gives me confidence that I can compete."
