"I have a warm place in my heart for the IMS Museum. From the time it was located outside of Turn 1 to its present location, the spark for my passion for Indy car racing was ignited there," said Jones, who has served on the Museum's board since 2019.
Jones acknowledged his predecessor's contributions, stating, "The entire board and I are grateful to Rob for his outstanding leadership and perseverance as we've worked to reimagine the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. His focus and action mindset have built a solid foundation that will benefit the Museum for years to come."
