Allegheny Sprint Tour Unveils Ambitious 2025 Schedule with Nearly 30 Race Dates

The Allegheny Sprint Tour (AST) has announced its most extensive schedule yet for the 2025 season, featuring nearly 30 racing events across five tracks in western Pennsylvania.

The season begins with the Chiller Thriller at Michael's Mercer Raceway on March 29, 2025. Mercer Raceway will host 13 events throughout the season, making it the most frequently visited venue.

Key Schedule Highlights:

  • Pittsburgh PA Motor Speedway returns to the schedule on April 12 for the first time since 2017
  • Lernerville Speedway hosts five Sunday events featuring Dirt TV's 3 Wide Special
  • Two non-points races at Dog Hollow Speedway in partnership with Laurel Highlands Sprint Series
  • Western PA Sprint Speedweek collaboration events at Pittsburgh PA Motor Speedway (May 29) and Tri-City Raceway Park (June 1)
  • Special events include the Bob Ryder Memorial (May 17), Al Priester Memorial (August 9), and Hawley Memorial (August 22)

August will be the busiest month with seven events across three tracks, including the Labor Day Weekend Special at Tri-City Raceway Park.

The season concludes with the Little Guy Nationals at Michael's Mercer Raceway (October 3-4) and the Steel City Stampede at Lernerville Speedway (October 10-11).

AST has also announced that veteran racing journalist DJ Johnson will join the organization to manage media relations and sponsorships.
