Billy Pauch Jr. Eyes Historic First Super DIRTcar Series Win at Volusia Nationals
Billy Pauch Jr. is returning to Volusia Speedway Park for the 2025 Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, seeking his first Super DIRTcar Series victory and first win at Volusia – achievements his father, Billy Pauch, already holds in both Big Block Modified and Sprint Car divisions.

The Frenchtown, NJ driver praised Volusia's unique racing characteristics, noting its exceptional speed and versatility. "The place races with a lot of speed. When you actually hit the track, the speed you carry around there is faster than you think. To me, it's even faster than Charlotte. How many places can you run the top on the fence, run the bottom, and not burn tires off?"
In his previous appearance, Pauch showed steady improvement throughout the week. After two 18th-place finishes, he secured a 13th-place finish in the finale, despite a late-race incident that cost him a potential top-five position. This experience provided valuable setup notes for his 2025 campaign.
The transition to Hoosier Tires has been a particular challenge for Pauch, who typically competes on American Racers at his home tracks. Despite winning seven or eight races last year on American Racers, he acknowledges the need to improve his performance on Hoosier Tires.
Driving the iconic No. 1 car made famous by his father, Pauch's strategy for success in 2025 is clear: "We have to roll out of the box better. I have to come out night one and run top 10 and then build the rest of the week."
The Super DIRTcar Series opens its 2025 season at Volusia Speedway Park during the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, February 12-15.
