The 45-year-old Wisconsin native, known as "The North Pole Nightmare," brings significant experience to the series, including 10 Interstate Racing Association (IRA) championships. His 2024 rookie season featured several notable achievements:

  • Eighth place finish in the season opener
  • First top-five finish at Kennedale Speedway Park
  • Led laps at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55
  • Runner-up finish at Paducah International Raceway
  • First-time qualification for the Knoxville Nationals championship Feature
  • Third place at the BillionAuto.com Huset's High Bank Nationals finale

Looking ahead to 2025, Balog aims to improve his performance by converting more top-10 finishes into top-5s and potentially securing his first World of Outlaws victory. "Our goal for 2024 was top 10s, and we were able to get a lot of those, but fifth pays a lot better than 10th, and third pays a hell of a lot better," Balog notes.

Balog will kick off his sophomore season at Volusia Speedway Park's 2025 Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, scheduled for February 5-8. The veteran racer acknowledges the intense competition level in the series but remains confident in his ability to compete at the highest level despite his age.
