Following his participation in the FIA WEC Rookie Test with Ferrari's 499P Hypercar, Leclerc joins AF Corse's eight-car Daytona campaign, driving the 296 GT3. He teams up with Conrad Laursen, Riccardo Agostini, and Custodio Toledo in the No. 50 car.

The Monegasque driver has embraced the unique challenges of endurance racing at Daytona, particularly noting the different atmosphere compared to European racing. He appreciates the spotter system that helps with traffic management, though acknowledges the additional challenge of nighttime racing when identifying approaching vehicles.

Despite concerns about outright speed, Leclerc and his team are focusing on avoiding errors and penalties. He's particularly invested in helping his Bronze-rated teammate Custodio and Silver-rated Conrad Laursen develop their pace.

The transition from single-seaters to endurance racing began last year when Leclerc competed in the European Le Mans Series' LMP2 class with Panis Racing and Italian GT with Scuderia Baldini. His ultimate goal appears to be securing a future role with Ferrari's Hypercar program, with an eye on Le Mans success.

While hoping to drive the final stint of the 24-hour race, Leclerc remains focused on team performance and making the most of this opportunity provided by Ferrari's sportscar boss, Antonello Coletta.
