
Alpine Completes 2025 WEC Driver Lineup with Schumacher, Gounon and Makowiecki
Alpine has confirmed its complete driver lineup for the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship, featuring two A424 Hypercars.

The No. 35 A424 will retain its existing crew of Paul-Loup Chatin, Charles Milesi, and Ferdinand Habsburg. For the No. 36 entry, Mick Schumacher will be joined by promoted reserve driver Jules Gounon and former Porsche driver Frédéric Makowiecki.

Team Principal Philippe Sinault expressed confidence in the new additions. He praised Gounon's successful integration through his reserve role, where he competed in half of last season's races, noting his valuable GT experience has significantly contributed to the Hypercar project.
Sinault highlighted Makowiecki's extensive experience and technical expertise as crucial assets for the team. He emphasized Makowiecki's analytical skills, situational awareness, and collaborative approach as perfect fits for Alpine's ambitions.
Nicolas Lapierre transitions to sporting director, while Matthieu Vaxiviere moves to reserve driver duties for the 2025 season.
