
Alberson Claims Historic First World of Outlaws Victory at DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals
Garrett Alberson clinched his first World of Outlaws victory at the DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals finale at Volusia Speedway Park, securing a $20,000 prize in an intense 50-lap battle.

The Las Cruces, NM driver started third behind Jimmy Owens and Jonathan Davenport, quickly moving to second position on the opening lap. After maintaining pressure on race leader Owens, Alberson seized the lead with eight laps remaining through a well-executed slider.
A late caution set up a dramatic three-lap shootout between Alberson and Davenport. Despite Davenport's aggressive sliding attempts, Alberson held his line and momentum to become the 102nd Feature winner in Series history and first from New Mexico.
Jonathan Davenport finished second, marking his second runner-up finish of the weekend. Max Blair secured third place, while Devin Moran impressed by advancing from 15th to fourth. Jimmy Owens, who led early, rounded out the top five.
